Within twenty-four hours, thirteen year old Thea Fossil's life has been turned upside down. She arrives home late one night to find her astrophysicist mother dead, and she and her little sister are wounded by a mysterious poison from an unknown race of aliens called Imeldi. The next time she wakes up, she is in a SHIELD base, and is surrounded by a crowd of unusual characters that wary Thea has a hard time trusting, particularly when she has just been orphaned. There is Thor, the compassionate yet slightly intimidating Asgardian, but she considers him too eager to please. Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton both are too shadowy and curt for Thea to put her faith in. Tony Stark, she finds humorous, but at times self-centered and bossy. Dr. Banner, Thea admires, but his own dangerous secret is known to her. And Steve Rogers is far too upbeat for Thea's generally pessimistic liking. And then there is one other person. Someone with a tongue of wit, a personality of iron, and a mind as complicated as Gordian's Knot- just like Thea. Someone who knows how to soothe her fears just as quickly as he knows how to get under her skin. The person that is perhaps the most untrustworthy, but whom little Thea may begin to trust the most. Loki. But even if Thea can begin to trust, and to work as a team, the threat of the Imeldi is still potent and long-fingered. Thea must learn to control her new powers, her temper, and her hidden fire if she wants to survive this. Particularly because the Imeldi want two things. Global revenge. And Thea. RATED PG-13: For interval language (d*mn, as*, h*ll) and violence.

{Royals and Peasants Book 1} [COMPLETED] {#1 in Paranormal: 02/09/18} "Laws are just as fragile as silence. It only takes one person to break it and change everything." Noah spent the last five years listening to the former Queen of Anicia fretting for her son who had yet to find his mate. Never in his life could he have imagined that he would be William's long awaited mate. Never did he imagine that he would find himself hiding in plain sight from his mate. He never could have thought that in this kingdom of separation and divide that his mate would accept him. This acceptance however, is not what our story is really about. It's about what follows there after. Here in Anicia, change is scarier than any great dragon. Will their love survive and be enough to convince others that the Vile Laws should be abolished? Or will they be doomed to remain as The King & the Stable Boy [Current Rank: #11 in Paranormal] Milestones: {#98 in Paranormal: 01/09/17} {#61 in Paranormal: 01/26/17} {#30 in Paranormal: 01/31/17} {#25 in Paranormal: 02/04/17} {#15 in Paranormal: 04/09/17} {#10 in Paranormal: 08/07/17} {#4 in Paranormal: 09/16/17}

Wattys 2017 winner in The Originals category!!!! This is NOT a romance between the main character and some hunky guy. These are the adventures of vampire Lena as she lives her life from day to day alongside her human flatmate Carmen. Together they encounter human rights activists (not what you think), overly attached exes, vampire geeks, quarrelsome shapeshifters, some really chill people, and a boy band. Let's Go For A Pint is a satire/genre parody revolving around tropes associated with vampire fiction (mostly tv and film portrayals but written works may be alluded) Season 1 is up. While marked as complete, expect ongoing editing and bonus content to appear. Cover made in Canva

Jailed, abandoned by family and friends, and fired from his job, Chase walks through life looking for the next bad thing to happen. But then he meets the Caelans. They look like and act like us, but they are not from this planet. They've lived here for years, posing as people of Earth, hiding in plain sight by using a mental ability called 'psy' to influence us-purely for the purpose of maintaining their secret identity. They have always been completely and utterly peaceful. Their planet had conquered and eradicated anger long ago. Something has suddenly changed, however, within the Caelan people here on Earth. After more than 50 years of peace, anger has infected some of them-like a sickness-forcing all 939 to be quarantined here. And when they meet Chase, they discover something even more disturbing-their psy does not work on him. His immunity to their power presents a serious security risk. On the surface, there doesn't seem to be anything special about him-other than having ADHD. Could this unusual condition be responsible for such a serious breach of Caelan security? Join Chase on the adventure of his life as he makes wondrous discoveries, improbable friends, terrifying enemies, finds unexpected love, and begins to believe in himself-for the first time in his life.

Sam is the most promising swordsman among this year’s crop of Paladin trainees...and knows it. Brash, cocky, and unbeatable with a sword (well, almost), Sam is the kingdom of Thule’s best hope against the violence wrought by demons. The only problem is that Sam is really Lady Samantha, daughter of the seventeenth Duke of Haywood, and if her father has his way, she’ll be marrying a Paladin, not becoming one. But Sam has never held much interest in playing damsel-in-distress, and so she rescues herself from a lifetime of boredom and matrimonial drudgery. Pity that Tristan Lyons, the Paladin assigned to train her, is none other than the hero of her childhood. He hasn’t recognized her as Lady Samantha--yet-- but if he does, he’ll take away her sword and send her packing. Sam is not the only trainee hiding secrets: Braeden is a half-demon with a dark past that might be unforgivable. Sam, Braeden and Tristan set out for the western coast, charged with rooting out an infestation of demons that has made the West unlivable. As they travel, they uncover a deep-seated corruption of power that threatens to derail everything they stand for. Rebellion stirs, led by a rival faction of warriors who tempt Sam to join them with an irresistible offer. A war between men is coming, and Sam must pick a side. Will saving the kingdom cost her life -- or just her heart? Reminiscent of Mulan, but with a medieval fantasy twist, Paladin is a tale of adventure, action, and romance.
