Every moment with Fitz caused her heart to twist in all kinds of pain, yet she persisted, not wanting to let him go just yet. "I won't ever let you go, Sophie. Do you want to know something?" Fitz whispered, wrapping his trembling arms around her torso. "Hmm?" She quivered. "You're unforgettable, Sophie. I just. . . wanted to show the world you were finally mine, and now this?" He tore a hand through his disheveled hair. Sophie's eyelids drooped, and she barely managed to stay conscious. "No," she murmured firmly. "You have to move on. . ."
