Lord Voldemort stared at the cradle where there was not one, but two children where he had only been expecting one. He leaned forward, eyes narrowed. "Which one of you... is my supposed death?" "Oh my love," Voldemort sighed. "Aren't you tired of this endless running? You don't look well. All this writhing in the dust like a hunted animal doesn't suit you." Harry struggled against the binds keeping him in place, his breaths coming out in sharps pants as he twisted away from his touch. He's a monster, he reminded himself, forcing himself not to think about how gentle he could be with him. How much he missed his touch. You need to run from him, run far, far away. You are in the middle of a war! "I'm tired of chasing," Voldemort continued, stepping closer to Harry's struggling form. "Of indulging this little game of yours. Let's stop pretending there's anywhere you could run where I would not find you." He paused in front of Harry and knelt down, a hand reaching out to caress his cheek possessively. "Let's stop pretending you want to be anywhere but my arms, hmm?" "Go to hell!" Harry spits, jerking away from his touch. "I'm not yours!" "And that, my love, is where you're wrong," Voldemort said with a crazed smirk. "Nothing, not even death, could keep me from you. You always have and always will belong to me!" |.-.-.-.-.-.-.-| Voldemort had finally won. He defeated the light and gained control over Magical Britain, and in the process, he had lost everything. As he remembers how he met, fell in love with, and ultimately lost Harry Potter, he realizes that in his greed, Voldemort had ruined everything that ever mattered to him. But when new information comes to light, it's a race against time to bring Harry Potter back from the dead and reconcile their relationship or risk losing the love of his life forever... ...Even if it means getting help from what's left of the Golden Trio.

He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was dead. .. Right? He was gone forever was he not? The Dark Lord was no more. He had not risen from the grave. He had fallen, was slain, obviously he was. What happened on the night of the Quidditch World Cup had simply been the act of rogue deatheaters out for revenge. The idiots in the ministry patted themselves on the back for their pathetic little reassurances that somehow managed to quell some of the rising panic in England. Whatever, it was not Perseus's responsibility to convince them or the Wizarding World of what was inevitably coming and hold their hands until it gets better. That was all on old twinkle eyes and his merry band of saviours. No, he has other worries now, namely the Triwizard Tournament. With two different schools coming to Hogwarts, it was the perfect time to socialize and network. Perseus needed his own inner circle, needed to build his influence within his own house and within Hogwarts. It was the time to strike, as his father would say. The Dark Lord isn't the only one rising this time around.

When Voldemort hits Harry with the killing curse the night of the Hogwarts battle, a choice will present itself for young Harry to make. What will he choose? I do not own Harry Potter.

What if that night in Godric's Hollow went differently? What if Harry did die? What if Death stepped in and made a deal with the Savior of the Wizarding World? How different would Harry's life be after that deal? (Or, Harry makes a deal with Death and in exchange gains something Voldemort has fought his entire life for. Immortality. And a strange friendship with Death)

Everything's different now, after the Giant War. So even after arriving home Percy can't tell anyone the truth; not his mom, not his new, rather odd, neighbor, not the friends that he's afraid to be close to.
