Annalise Lancaster seeks revenge against the demons that killed her older brother. After his death she joined N.O.D.E, an elite demon hunting group, that trains anyone who is willing, to defeat the monsters that hunt in the dark night. Emery Carson, once a normal teenage boy, struggles to reclaim his humanity from the demon that lingers under his skin. Fueled by the anger and despair that seep into his very bones, he fights back to gain control of his life. The two must work together if there is any hope of defeating the demons that threaten everything they know. Will they be able to vanquish the darkness or will it swallow the world? STORY EXCERPT: "Don't shoot him," Her voice quivered, from both panic and fatigue. Emery shook his head at her. "Let them," he muttered, voice calm, decided. Ashton was so close to her now. She could make out the chocolate irises surrounding his enlarged pupils. His dark hair, peppered with grey, was tied back into a ponytail at the nap of his neck. He wore the regulation cloak and black combat boots of a demon hunter. His eyebrows were furrowed in confusion at her words, the protection she had offered the demon was unheard of. "Please, Ashton, don't," She urged him again, this time pleading. Emery's words echoed in her mind 'Let them'. #Highest Ranking: 389 in Paranormal Genres: Fantasy, Paranormal, Adventure, Horror Warning: This story does contain gore, death, and violence. *This is the first draft of this story so updates to grammar and more to come.* Undated: Every Saturday - This story is on Hiatus to prepare for the NaNo, which I'm creating something new for.
