WATTPAD ORIGINAL EDITION Island princess Yenni is searching for a way to save her father's life, but a handsome yet infuriating shapeshifting dragon becomes an unexpected distraction. ***** As a princess of the Moonrise Isles, Yenni is all-but-engaged to the prince of a neighbouring tribe. She knows it's her duty to ensure peace for her people, but as her father's illness steadily worsens, she sets out on a sacred journey to the empire of Cresh, determined to find a way to save him at any cost, even though failure could mean the wrath of her gods and ruin for her people. One further complication? On the day she arrives at the Prevan Academy for Battle and Magical Arts, she meets an arrogant dragon shifter who claims she's his "Given", or destined mate. Muscular, beautiful (and completely infuriating), he's exactly the kind of distraction Yenni can't afford while her father's life hangs in the balance. This story is similar to the beauty and the beast story but takes place in modern times. Isabelle Beaumont is nineteen years old and absolutely beautiful. Her brown hair reaches all the way to her waist and her green eyes are breathtaking; as told to her by a very annoying and very stubborn Stephan. She visits her grandmother in France and is once again told the story of the untamed beast. The legend says that many years ago when knights and mythical creatures walked the earth there was an untamed beast who vanquished an entire kingdom and to this day still lives in the castle. It is said the only way to tame the beast is to show it how to love. Belle finds this childish but when her grandmother is taken by the beast her only choice is to take her place and stay. Will Belle be able to escape or will feelings grow?

I was never meant to leave that room. I had spent my whole life in there, imagining what it was like on the outside. I looked forward to the day when I would finally be allowed to leave. But that day was never supposed to come. Until James decided to keep his promise. He had always been there, on the other side of the glass. Waiting. The experiment wasn't over. He was still waiting for me to change. But I didn't change. Not until that night. It was dark, and there was rain. The sound of the car engine was loud, but the crash was louder. In the crash, I became something different. I changed. But not for James. This new part of me emerged for one reason; to save her. This story is a first draft and will contain typos and grammatical errors. I apologize for these in advance, and hope you can see beyond them to the story beneath. Happy reading!
