On a mission given to Dyray, he is sent to the abandoned kingdom of Yaldrat where he undergoes a terrible dissent into madness. No one amongst Garrot's keep is willing to take Dyray's trial except young Dystain. The squire of Dyray chooses to take up his master's mantle in not only an attempt to redeem his master, but to also discover what could have happened to this once great knight.
