Simba and Nala have brought a new heir into the world. They couldn't be happier. But their happiness soon turns to worry when they find that Zira also has a new arrival. Simba fears what could come about in the future with his son, Kopa and Zira's daughter, Vitani. Simba and Nala vow to protect Kopa to the best of their abilities. But Zira swore to get her revenge on Simba for Scar's death. She's persistent. She won't stop until her promise is fulfilled.

Simba's first son, Kopa, is born healthy and with a lust for adventure and curiosity. That leads him into some trouble. When he crosses the border into the Outlands, he meets a beautiful lioness named Vitani. The two become fast friend and maybe even more than that. Will that turn out to be a good thing? Or will the danger prove to be their undoing?

Nala is born the daughter of Sarafina and Jahi during the reign of Mufasa. Her cubhood days are spent alongside Simba, Tama, Kula, and Malka. The five of them spend their time exploring the Pridelands and getting into mischief. It seems as if they have all the time in the world. Then, one day, everything changes. Scar returns with life-changing news: the King is dead and so is Simba. Nala's life drastically changes when Priderock falls to Scar's rule. The Pridelands begin to die and the Pride faces starvation. As Nala grows older, she becomes one of the best huntresses and catches Scar's attention. What happens when Scar is determined to make her his Queen? Only when a childhood friend returns to him and begs him for help does Simba realize that his land needs him and that he is indeed the one true king.
