"And there's no room In This Hell, but there's no room in the next." ... Grace Harcourt is a bachelorette, and a very esteemed one at that; the only issue is, she seems to have trouble with doing what she is told, and also, holding her tongue. The black sheep of the family? Maybe. However, when she becomes acquainted with Gregory Violet, a bachelor in his own right and a master artist, she begins to entrust herself to him -- this man, so different, so cold, yet so capable of something else, something more. But is this the happy ending that Grace is looking for? Or is there something else lurking in the shadows that threatens to ruin everything? "Shirayuki," he mumbled to himself. "That's a beautiful name." I could only look at him as he contemplated, his sake cup in font of him untouched. The snow outside had turned into a blizzard, the howls of the unforgiving wind blaring, clattering against the terracotta roof. The chill pierced through the wood-and-paper walls, but he seemed indifferent, his gaze still focused on the snow through the wooden shutters. "Thank you," I replied nervously. He finally brought the cup to his lips, and sipped in silence. "Sometimes," he said, his eyes getting slightly hazy, "I wonder how things could come down to this." "Didn't you yourself tell me not to question His Majesty?" I said, giggling. "Indeed I did," he chuckled, smiling at me, "But sometimes you can't just help but wonder." After a short silence, he spoke again. "What about you?" he asked me, "What do you think of all this?" "In my time with you, I have only come to understand so much," I replied, "So I don't really know." He seemed satisfied with my answer, and fell back to watching the snow through the window. I lied. I had lied straight through my teeth. Indeed, I do understand. In an empire of lies, there is no virtue. In a nation of delusions, there is no rationality. -cover edited by me-

She lived in the night. She was forever alone and left aimlessly searching for a purpose-nothing more than to understand her insignificant existence. She had been known by many names, yet . . . acknowledged only one: Aria. Aria was unable to see the light of day; to feel the warmth of the sun's vibrant rays caressing her porcelain skin. She yearned for the light. When she would venture into the lamp-lit streets of Paris at night, she could hear a beautiful symphony taking place within each living being she would pass by. She couldn't remember the rhythm her own beating heart used to create, only that it once held a pulse. Aria envied humans for their life; for the blood that washed through their veins and the blush that burned their cheeks. She missed such things that she'd taken advantage of within her short life: the sound of her heart thundering in her ears after a run through the swaying fields of uncut hay, the nervous jitters she'd get from a man's embrace, as well as the cold chills from a cool breeze. During her human life, she had never took into consideration such simple things as having an impact so great on her . . . but now-being eternally dead, yet still roaming the earth as a creature who only sees the dark side of the day-she misses every seemingly insignificant occurrence from her mortal life.

When you fold a piece of paper, you're essentially changing the memory of that piece Under the dim light of my desk lamp, I took the square piece of fuchsia paper and laid it on the table. Flipping it over to the reverse blank side, I fished out a pen from the depths of my pencil case. Pen between my fingers, I contemplated writing what I really wanted to relay. My true thoughts. These meaningless feelings. Inhaling deeply, my hand quivered as I tried to control the strokes on the thin sheet of paper. "Please forget about this." I wrote, in minute handwriting. I then started to fold the paper up with my clumsy fingers. Over the reverse side I made a crease, over the inverse side I made a crease. I folded a corner, turned a flap inside out. I smoothed out the paper on the table, and finally dared to take a peek at what I had created. The end product I received was a horribly disfigured cherry blossom. Imperfect, ruined and ugly. Just like my imperfect, ruined, and ugly soul. -Cover background by Avwyn from Deviantart, all credit goes to the artist- -Cover edited by me-

They say in life there are no second chances. But what if you had blown it with the girl of your dreams? What would you do knowing that she was out there, in other realities, realities you hadn't screwed up? That kind of thing could really mess you up... and it could make you do "some crazy." Down-on-his-luck David Blunt is as loser as a loser you can get; recently kicked out of school and fired from his dead end job, David's been squatting in his flop-house apartment, avoiding his landlord and subsisting on stale fortune cookies and cheap street meat for weeks. But when David reads a fortune that predicts an epic future for him, he starts to think that his luck is about to change. Emma Gossett is a spirited world traveler full of wanderlust, and never stays put in one place long enough to form any attachments. Her lovable and eccentric Gran insists this is because she was hidden from the Norns as a babe to keep them from naming Emma's fate, a fable Emma puts little faith in. But when Emma meets David, her faith in reality is shaken to the core. Does this rambling cynical romantic hold the answer to the prevailing sense of déjà vu she's been feeling lately? Or is it just something else, as her new and mysterious and magnetic acquaintance Gabriel insists? Perhaps he holds the key to the mysterious sensations she has felt of living another life alongside her own. All Your Fates is a multiverse mindwarp with supernatural elements that one reader commented: "This story is twisting into ways a pretzel couldn't even try!!"

Leader of the Zea Pyrates, Imelda Alvidrez wreaks havoc among the rich and takes from the weak. She's far from the average Robin Hood, that's for sure. With a crew of more than a hundred women and men, she dominates Navy ships, takes their exports and pawns them for money. Her crew is fearless for she doesn't recruit pansies. Her strategies never fail until one raid led her to Balthazar Sultan ... Charming, sensual, and completely irritating, she unwillingly adopts him onto her ship. But, when the Navy takes action to eliminate the Pyrate race, her attention is turned elsewhere. Pyrates, or Navy? Only one shall rule the waters -- even if the seas run red with their blood. The seven seas aren't big enough for both of them, after all. (Thank you, @brittonshay, for making the lovely cover!)
