Every few generations, he appoints not only a new elemental council of dragons to maintain balance, but also a select chosen one to become his personal assistant, and potentially inherit his throne. Such news begins to spread all throughout the kingdom, even to the home of an ordinary dragon Spiticus, who never guessed his ordinary school days would soon take an unexpectedly dark turn. UPDATE: Hey all! I've decided that I will leave this draft up for those who'd like a sort of sample of this story idea. I'm not really happy with how it went over here, BUT rest assured it is still very much being worked on, but I will not be adding any updates to the draft here. Since writing this, I feel like I've improved a little bit, and this story means a lot to me, so I will be taking my time with its latest draft.
