Max is an orphan, he has no money or even a home. he lives on the streets, surviving of what little he can find. the people that walk past him always look away and ignore him but it's better that way, he wouldn't be able to stand their gaze anyways. Their faces are all enormous to him (being a tiny Neko) so he would be freezed in fear if they looked at him. He sits there on his little corner, watching the people walk by in this big scary world.

Jessie gets shrunk by her professor father in order to keep her safe. After he gets kidnapped a Detective in shining armor apears to serve and protect.
