This is a story about Stiles and Derek's first meeting being on top of a bridge in the middle of traffic, Derek ready to take his own life. Stiles talks him down and give him a place to stay for as long has wants and/or needs. This unique start develops into friendship and then love, with Stiles' son coming all along the way. But just like any relationship there is trial and error and people who come back to ruin your life. Through this you will see pain and secrets, but overall love and family. Soon you will get to read and feel what it's like to be talked into life.

Derek takes the pack on a vacation weekend to a beach, where they share a house. Derek and Stiles are forced to share a room after Allison and Scott claim one room, and Lydia claims another for her and Jackson. This leads the two towards bonding and more.

When Stiles dad turns back to his old way of drinking and starts to abuse him, Stiles doesn't know what to do. He doesn't tell anyone in hopes that it will go away. It doesn't, it never will because people like that don't change. Derek liked Stiles he had to admit he was perfect. But when Stiles starts showing up to pack meeting with bruises on his neck he has to convince himself to move on. Derek needs him, and he's not about to let Derek suffer without him being there. So of course Stiles goes to him, and with a little help from a few of his friends.
