If the fangs and blood red eyes did not give it away, Soren is a vampire. However, unlike what is said about vampires being big and strong, sexy, or masters of the night is not correct here. In Sorens world vampires are no more then pets to humans, who like wild animals they were hunated and killed or sold to humans. The humans long ago found their weaknesses, So captured vampires, or bread vampires who were born from and raised to be a pet,like Soren, loose or have no idea what freedom could be... But thangs change.
