Sophie Campbell is a seventeen year old senior at Jackson High that also holds down a part-time job at the local coffee shop. The way Sophie sees it, there's no need for her to have a boyfriend in high school. All the boys are immature and she's lasted without love for 17 years so far... why not wait one more? However, when the mysterious loner at her school comes into her work on New Year's Eve, something between them clicks. Between crazy friends, a motorcycle and an English assignment, will they be content with just a friendship or will they realize that they might be perfect for each other as more?

Gabreila Miller, senior in high school, star of the girl's basketball team. Blake Jackson, senior in high school, football team's quater back, "second best" player on the boy's basketball team, and pitcher for baseball. What do these two have in common? They are best friends, they have been for the longest time. They do everything together, they always hang out, go to each others games if they can. All of a sudden when Blake comes back from England they both start to act different towards each other. But does someone get in the picture? When They both deny the feelings and everytime Blake trys something Gabby will back away. Leaving them both friendzoned. Selena Rider: Clumsy, uncoordinated-and-most-definitely-not-athletic, and sarcastic, with an unfortunate affinity for making self destructive life decisions. Against all odds, Selena and Conner have remained best friends longer than either can even recall, joined at the hip and constantly searching for adventure. Or trouble. Or both. Until puberty kicks in, and BAM!, they go from being best friends for life, to best friends with benefits. No one else knows, for now anyways, and keeping it that way will prove more of a challenge than expected. The two will have to deal with the fact, that the things they want, are sometimes the things that they never expected to want. There's a test of devotion and friendship approaching them, and no one is certain that they will make it out with their hearts in one piece. After all, best friends are forever. Right?
