(Based on Aphmau's MyStreet) Katelyn has never been in touch with her emotions. Angry and afraid, she's by herself on this island of solitude. Travis hides behind his player looks and annoying jokes. On the inside he's broken and alone. Then one day, they meet, and they start to help each other up. That's what friends should do, after all.

"Um, you have no idea how difficult this is to make words out of," Travis stated, following with a nervous chuckle. "Katelyn, you-you are just amazing. In more ways than words can even express and I want you to know that. You make me actually be able to be myself, and I know that sounds a little cheesy, but it's true. The truth is, I-I really, really like you and... I just can't express all of the feelings that I'm feeling in this very moment. Look, I know this is probably the sappiest crap you've ever heard, but I promise you, I mean every word." I was speechless. Absolutely speechless. I had never known Travis as someone who would've had such a way with words, yet here he was. Completely and utterly poring his heart out to me. "...So I wanted to ask you a question," he said, a light shade of pink rising to his cheeks. "Will you make me the happiest dork alive and... go to prom with me?" The kindness and care in his words made tears sting in my eyes, but from joy. "Of course I'll go to prom with you, you dork!" I exclaimed and jumped into his arms, hugging him. *** Katelyn is constantly unaware of her perfect curves and beauty and has boys constantly chasing after her. Of course, none of them meet her standards until one transfer student from Falcon Claw makes an exception. Travis. With his cool attitude and his flirtatious smile, Katelyn can't help but fall for him. But what happens when an old foe re-enters her life and the memories of heartbreak and betrayal come flooding back to her? (The beginning of this book is pretty crappy, but I promise you, it gets way better as you go along! :))

Travis flirts with Katelyn. Katelyn punches Travis. This cycle repeats itself over and over. Until finally, Travis wins the fair maiden's heart.
