This is an interactive story. To a certain extent, you get to decide what happens. Here's the premise. Peter's sailing on the ocean with a few of his friends when the boat is capsized. As a result, he is left floating in the middle of the open ocean with nothing but the clothes on his back, a bag, a water bottle, a hat, three flares, and a life preserver. Make the right choices; help Peter make it out of the water alive. This story is a What Do You Want Now? story. What Do You Want Now? is the name for my growing collection of interactive stories, all revolving around either Peter or the female version of Peter, Petra. In each story, he is cast into a new scenario and needs help. This is the second. The stories do no need to be read in order.

This piece is a short story that I wrote. I really would rather not give a plot summary because I think rather highly of the level of unknown information in the story. Since it is so short, to summarize it would be to reveal all of its secrets before they are read. Here's a quick comment concerning the point of view: the story is narrated by a person of unknown name and gender. The point of this ambiguity is not to make any sort of gender-focused point but to draw attention away from the narrator and toward the main plot and its characters. In fact, only the people on whom I would like you to dwell have names and genders. I hope you enjoy.

His parents were willing to pay for a daughter-in-law that beautiful, for their reputation was everything to them. Naturally, the arrangement was made. But that's normal. Arrangements are made and the children are to be married by age 16, when they are considered adults. Mandy has never met Zachary, never even been told of the arrangement until their 16th birthday, the day they are married. Zachary, on the other hand simply has to accept responsibility and bare the burden of their upcoming marraige. They barely know each other and would both rather be free . . . What ever will they do?

"It was you?" I asked, dumbstruck. "Of course," the person sneered. I couldn't believe it. Not in a million years would I think it'd be this person, of all people. "But why would you do this?" "I would tell you, but I'd have to kill you." My heart dropped to the floor. It was time to get out of there. When 16-year old Evan Cunningham finds the body of his butler at his home, he is taken to the police station as a suspect for the murder. His alibi proves that he's innocent and free to go home, but that doesn't mean he's staying away from the case. Evan decides to take it upon himself to find out who the true murderer is. When two girls named Aloe and Sage were seven, President Antel was elected for his eight years of leadership. The first thing he did was pass a law to say anyone who leaves their sector is punishable by death. Two months ago, eight years later, he was re-elected for another eight. President Antel ordered that no women were allowed to have jobs because he thought they were considered inferior to men and not worthy of working a man's job. The opinion and law caught on fast, leaving many women with no where to go with no job. Luckily for some, they were already married and had children. Even with just two months, women still had children. If it wasn't a boy, it wasn't of value. They would throw it out, just like the Ancient Spartans did. The new law shakes the sector of Botanee. Many women were gardners. They have to quit it to not get into trouble. When food declines in Botanne and an unexpectable occurrence happens, Aloe and Sage start something for girls, some place to keep them safe.
