"The Prophecy may say you are a hero, but you'll never be what the universe needs to survive." Cloud Star has always known he was different. From the day he exploded from his egg with the curse of sapphire-colored scales, to the day the ghosts in his head told him why he had to be kept a secret from the rest of the world, until now; nineteen years later; when he must remain hidden to prevent a firey end to the nine Realms of Dragnaple, he had never doubted he had power, even if he had never felt it (or, let's be honest, seen it). But what he hadn't suspected was just how much a dragon of his rarity was worth--and what some would do to secure him for their own selfish desires. But when Cloud is given the chance to leave his home and everything he's known behind to go out into the world and become the hero the Realms so desperately need, he will have to make a choice: Stay where he knows he will be safe--and watch the Realms tear each other apart... ...or break free of the expectations of his kind and become a hero that the universe could never have predicted. "I love this time of day, the way the setting sun hits the ripples of this small, yet deep lake. The way the water glistens and shines, it calls to me, it calls me home. The subtle swaying of the willow trees is almost hypnotic, sending me into a trance as I start to in vision how I ended up here. What can I say? Life is precious and quick... it took my own death to realise that."

"His mother's screams remained etched in his mind. He promised himself that night he would never again stand by as people he cared for suffered, and he would one day kill Volcseck. He intended to keep those promises." Falcon Hyatt has a problem. For reasons unknown to him he can wield all the elements, not only basics like fire and water, but also those more advanced, like space and poison. And now the chaos element, the same one his parents' killer Shal-Volcseck wields, has awakened within him, with catastrophic results. To complicate matters, the Suteckh Empire has declared war on the capital cities of Va'siel. Now he must venture out into the world with his friends Lao, Faith, and Aya on a mission to stop the Suteckh from taking over Va'siel, and find his parents killer, as all the while he struggles to suppress his newfound abilities. In his quest Falcon is forced to question what he's really fighting for, where his loyalties lie, and his own character. Is he truly a good person, or an even more dangerous menace than the dreaded Shal-Volcseck? Element Wielder is the story of faith, love, and a young man's struggle to continue on his quest, when surrendering to his emotions and giving up is so much easier.

No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. Is there a way for her to hide her true identity in this new world while retaining her humanity? --------------------- Sneak Peek: I jumped over the lip of the tray and beat down hard with my wings. I had expected to only slow my fall; I had not expected to end up gaining so much height. I squawked in surprise and spread my wings wide in alarm before gravity regained its hold on me. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. I turned around to regard the tray again. They say practice makes perfect. With another hop and a single wingbeat, I managed to land in the sand tray with fanned wings slowing my momentum. That was much more graceful. But a wing-assisted hop wasn't true flight. And I still wasn't on the windowsill. ---------------------------- Entire semi-polished draft can be read on Wattpad.
