"Kaylyn!" I heard my name called from behind me. I whipped around and saw my best friend running towards me. "Wait!" "Cameron!" I said dropping my bags and ran up to him. I quickly hugged him like my life depended on it. "I'm gonna miss you Kay." He whispered into my hair. "I'll miss you too." He pulled away from the hug and looked into my eyes. "Promise me something." He said holding out his pinky. I wrapped my pinky around his and nodded. "Senior year you'll come back." He said. I looked at Cameron with tears in my eyes. "I promise." I said before going to pull away. "No. You have to say you pinky promise." He said as tears threatened to escape his eyes. "I pinky promise." I smiled weakly and hugged him tightly before grabbing my bags and heading to my home for the next two years. • • Kaylyn and Cameron were best friends since birth.
