Written in both present time and in flashbacks, some about Keaton's choice to leave the studio, and others about young woman named Emilie who struggles with feelings that mark her as "different," this book tells the story of being different because of things you hold inside of you, and the choice between concealing your true self and letting the world learn your secrets.
