A book of poetry aimed at people who have or are struggling with the addiction of self injury. These are poems highlighting the growing problems of self harm. It isn't judging, though, and doesn't insist that the person suffering MUST stop or MUST recover, but it gives that option and emphasizes the good things about quitting.

"Society seems to think doing this to teenage girls is okay, but it really isn’t. It was society who taught me that I wasn’t good enough, that it would be so hard to love myself. It all started when I was hardly thirteen. Barely old to enough to realize what I was doing to myself. Barely old enough to realize what all of this would turn into. Barely old enough to know that this disease would take over my life." Lilia is a sixteen year old girl, who, like millions of other teenage girls and boys, is dealing with anorexia, or Ana for short. This is her story about how she copes with living with her eating disorder. Her girl best friends seem to be clueless, but her ultimate best friend, Connor, who knows her like the back of his hand, is soon catching on to Lilia's tricks and lies. Before they realize it, they're falling in love, and he wants nothing more but to save his love. But the only person who can save Lilia from herself, is her. But when tragedy strikes, will this disease push Lilia to her limits or allow her to recover?

"So, what's your name?" she asked. Her long, white hair contrasted with her big, dark brows and deep blue eyes in a unique way. Her skin was pale, as if she never exposed it to sunlight, but her red lipstick warmed her cold features. She was wearing a black beanie with "CHANNEL zero" written on it. Tall and skinny, reminded people of a Victoria's Secret model. She was beautiful. "Stacey" I answered quietly. Why are we even talking? "Really? You don't look like one," her eyes searched every detail of my face, until I frowned. "Excuse me?" "I mean... I always imagined Stacey to be a blondie, booby girlie girl. Just... not like you," Intrigued, I decided to continue the conversation "And you are..?" "My name is Ana. I just moved here. Mind showing me around?" Well, that escalated quickly. "Uh... Sure"
