This is something I started just writing for my own enjoyment, but decided to share. I guess you'd call it a companion piece to my first Brankie story "Tynkerbell". Where that one was from Frank's POV, here we can now hear it from Brian's. You do not have to read "Tynkerbell" first to understand, but this story may be appreciated more if you do.)

Frank Iero was barely out of high school and starting off 'adult life' in a very unconventional way to most: by flying across the country to become a goddamn roadie. He was about to find out just how hard and amazing life was going to be by joining the family of a to a yet-to-be-famous band. At best he was hoping for a couple months of feeling free and being utterly surrounded by music, but Frank got a whole lot more than he bargained for. More than the vomit and the hangovers and escalating pranks and inevitable fights due to a lack of personal space. No, his life got a whole lot more confusing and complicated in the form of a lead guitarist. Frank's life was about to be flipped upside down.

Brian Haner è un veterano di guerra. Quando però suo marito Matthew, da poco tornato in guerra per svolgere altri due anni al servizio dell'esercito degli Stati Uniti, viene catturato dai nemici e probabilmente ucciso, iniziano i problemi. Brian cade in depressione, senza più essere neanche in grado di occuparsi di suo figlio. Troppo forte è il desiderio di avere indietro il corpo di Matt, in modo da potergli dare una degna sepoltura. Le cose però non sono esattamente come sembrano, e presto Brian riacquista la speranza di potere tornare alla sua vita ...
