This is a horror story and the setting is based on the the title, and abandoned village, as you can tell. The main characters are a group of friends and their names are, Amelia, Avery, Zoey, Demi, Hannah, Liam, Ben, Alex, Jaxon and Emmett. They're all close friends (maybe even more than friends for some of them) but one day Jaxon mentioned something about an abandoned village not far from their home town, Crewe. They ended up agreeing to go and go on an adventure, they found something and it wasn't pleasent, they saw IT, and IT wasn't something you'd like to remember.
