"What's happening outside?" Cody asks me suddenly, running his hand through his hair. For a blind guy, he sure knows how to flatter a girl. I rolled my eyes, "A bird is sitting on the tree. Singing songs." Which indeed was the truth. "Awe, don't sound too tedious, I know you can do better." What is up with this guy? Taking an exasperated breath, I started from the beginning, "A bird is sitting on a high branch singing a lovely melody." Cody smiled, "That sounded a lot better, wish I could see the lovely girl describing this to me." --- Paige has everything. A good scholarship, supportive parents and siblings, amazing ballet skills and a family ranch. Knowing she can't balance everything on her plate, Paige focuses on ballet, trying to master the art of dancing. But what if she loses the only talent she loves? After one of her many ballet recitals, she gets into a very serious car accident, leaving her with a broken leg and a 1st degree burn on the left side of her face, forcing her to stop taking ballet. While in recovery, she meets a boy, or rather roomie, who is temporarily blind from a silly experiment he did with his friends. Given hours of nothing to do, she slowly becomes friends with him. Once the hospital released her, she didn't expect to see her hospital room mate again. Until weeks later, a tan young man comes to their ranch asking for a part time job. Knowing its the boy from the hospital, she pretends to find herself busy, dreading what he will think of her as the girl with a burned face. But what if the echo of her life is the key to her healing? Will Cody show her how to challenge herself to dance again, or will she forever be bitter? Find out in Echo-A ballet Story.
