Angels are dicks, at least, that's what Dean Winchester thinks. He stands by his rules, and his rules only that not even his younger brother Sam Winchester, can't interfere. And then, Dean went to hell. Literally. And once he saw the blue-eyed, soft-spoken Angel of The Lord, Castiel, he knew that he brought big trouble. And now that the angel is tagging along, will Dean finally abide a rule he swore he'd never break?

Now that Cas is human, some things are a lot harder to do, but it has is plus sides. Feelings, for one thing, are both pleasant and not pleasant, except when they involve Dean. Nor Dean, Cas or Sam know whether Cas will ever get his grace back, and what is going on with Metatron in heaven. Luckily, they get some help from Charlie and a certain other angel. Together, they try to do what's right, and it leads them to doing things they never thought they'd be doing. Word count: 37k

"Why do your wings pop out around Dean and not me?" Sam asked, cocking his head moose-ishly. Castiel squirmed uncomfortably. "No reason." He answered. Sam dropped the subject, but Castiel knew he wasn't going to give up.

It's 1995, and Castiel's high school years are destined to be difficult: home-schooled until eighth grade, he is awkward, shy, and socially inept. The weird kid with the funny name would rather isolate himself and draw in his sketchbook than deal with the constant bullying he faces every day. Things only get worse in his junior year when he excels in home economics class, leading the captain of the baseball team, Alastair, to start taunting him for being gay. Then new student Dean Winchester arrives at Flour Bluff High School, sharing many of Castiel's classes. Castiel has seen his type before -- handsome, athletic, arrogant, and sure to be the most popular kid in school. But Castiel eventually learns that he and Dean have more in common than he thought, and they form an unlikely friendship. Cas is a blue eyed, sex-haired boy who has nothing better to do than school work. No friends, no social life. So when Dean, a hot, green eyed, male model- looking guy wants to be his friend, he is more than surprised. And even more surprised when Castiel learns that he is falling for Dean. And Dean, for him. This is my first story so I'm sorry if it sucks. This also includes a little bit of Sabriel too but I'm not sure yet how much I'm going to add to it.

The angels have fallen. Castiel lost his grace, and is now a human. He experiences hunger, cold, need, but still pondered at the thought of love. Dean takes him under his wing and helps him understand his new way of life; every aspect. Even though his grace is lost, the affair between a man and an angel is forbidden. Not to mention, an angel and a Winchester. In addition to the internal conflicts between the two, they also have to worry about the bounty put on Castiel's head by the other fallen angels.

What do you do if you're forced to go to college and share a dorm with someone? Doesn't sound bad? Well, try hiding wings on top of it!

At eleven years old, Dean Winchester thinks he and Castiel will be best friends forever. One day, however, when Castiel shatters their friendship in one easy swoop, Dean finds himself fearing nothing will ever be the same between them again. Now seven years later, their paths cross again and together they find themselves figuring out who they truly are and who they were meant to be.

Despite Zeke’s threats, Dean doesn't tell Cas to leave the bunker. He revels in their burgeoning relationship, content to end his day with Cas asleep on his shoulder, even if they'll always sleep in separate rooms. Cas is it for him. But when Cas begins to experience physical urges he can't control, he asks Dean for a hand—metaphorically, and later, literally. Canon divergent after 9.03 "I'm No Angel."
