Life is strange. Death is stranger.

Dan always seems normal. He is kind to his friends and loves all things nerdy, which is why kids find him an easy target. But what most people don't know, is that he is trapped in a deep state of depression that he can't get out of, thanks to the death of his father, his alcoholic step-father, the bullies at school, and the fact that everyone knows his deepest darkest secret about his sexuality, he is bi-sexual. But things suddenly change when the curious, over-enthusiastic and light-hearted new kid, Phil Lester makes his way into Dan's life, and slowly into Dan's heart and he teaches that everyone deserves a chance to be happy, and everyone has a reason to live, even if he and Phil's lives aren't perfect. *Warning!! High School AU For years now, Dan and his friends haven't let Phil be. He's bullied and tired of it, but he can't make them stop. But he stumbles upon Dan's tumblr one day and decides to get back on him, only it's behind the safe walls of anonymousity. What Phil doesn't know though, is that Dan isn't as strong as he appears in school, and the anonymous messages gets much bigger consequenses than he'd thought.

Dan wasn't like any other 16-year-old boy. He liked flowers and pink things. Big deal? Clearly it was to those around him. He was different, that was why they hated him. Phil was like most 16-year-old boys, just not like the ones at his school. Being raised in a nasty neighbourhood meant the piercings and dyed hair were also seen as different. If you weren't rich, you were a mistake. When these two outcasts meet, they'll change each other's lives forever. They just need to learn to let each other in.
