Illness runs rampant throughout the city, a plague is taking lives left and right as a whole city falls to their knees in front of one man, Doctor Julian Devorak. One a dark evening, long after midnight, a knock at the doctor's door catches him off guard as a man stands with his sick daughter in his arms begging Julian for help. Although saying no many times, Julian couldn't quite bring himself to turn the man away and he took in a the sick girl, Dove Knight.
