The year is 2012 - the distant past. The world is set to end in 21 days, and the John Lewis advert is about a snowman finding love for his girlfriend, featuring a haunting cover of a Frankie Goes to Hollywood single, and the first film of the Hobbit trilogy awaits imminent release. All over London, the arrival of December brings frenzy and chaos, and laughter and happiness. Amidst the excitement, one cold afternoon, a boy meets a girl.

Emily fell in love with a guy named Chase. They've been together for a year when the most shocking thing happens; Emily became pregnant with what would be her and Chase's first child.
