In which petals hold lies, acts, secrets and deaths. _ "One petal per pound, remember? You can do it." "I can't," she whispered. _ Harper and Peyton Norelle were inseparable, the ideal pair of sisters. One was the bright shining star, and the other, the shadow. Polar opposites, but yet they clicked so well. The perfect pair. At least, that's what everyone chose to believe. But strip off the mask and see through the facade, you would find two rather imperfect girls, each struggling to live up to their version of perfection, pulling the other down with her, drowning themselves in knives, scars, rigged scales and blood. After all, perfection, had to be earned. One petal at a time. But secrets will definitely be uncovered. Lies will soon have to be confessed. Acts will have to come to an end. And flowers, will eventually run out of petals. _

We were just puppets in a puppet show, putting on a smile, a mask, an act, to please the audience. We were just puppets in a puppet show, letting everyone hold our strings. We were just puppets in a puppet show, dancing and moving to the rhythm of their requests. We were just puppets in a puppet show, no brain of our own because it got stripped from us before we could even use it. We were just puppets in a puppet show, unable to make our own decisions, not because we couldn't, but because we were disallowed to. We were just puppets in a puppet show, doing as we were told, looking as we were told. We were just puppets in a puppet show, waiting for our strings to snap. _ Welcome to the puppet show. We hope you enjoy yourself. You may take hold of the puppets anytime you want to. But beware, the puppets could disconnect from their strings at anytime. Please don't catch them if they do. We have many other puppets who could take their place soon. _

[3rd Place in @evethespy's 'Waffle Cones' one-shot contest] They say the strongest weapon of all, the most cruel, the deadliest, are words. They hold power, they hold strength. They hold the power, the strength, to make or break someone. They hold the power, the strength to either build or destroy a relationship. They hold the power to heal and yet also to damage. But there are three specific words, that can cut through you like a knife, or stitch up the wounds once opened by them. Four years ago, Emily and Fletcher said those three words to one another. But a lot has changed since that day. Too much, in fact. So much that they can't even tell what's right from wrong, what's good from bad and what's real from fake. And all because of one bittersweet tragedy that stood in their way and ruined it all. But that doesn't mean that it can't be removed, that they can't come out of the battle alive. It solely depends on if those three words still mean as much to them as it did four years ago. _
