25 year old Jean Kirstein took up a job at the a fairly local, warn down coffee shop called The Maria Cafe. 18 year old Armin Arlert moved into town a few weeks ago and was still learning the basics of the place. One day he wandered around his neighborhood to stubble upon a cute, little coffee shop called The Maria Cafe. Over time the two began to spark up conversation about the weather. Poor Armin, after having his heart violently ripped out and shredded to pieces, he falls for this tall, adorable cashier. Jean, however, doesn't particularly take notice of the little blonde's feelings. Since they were basically best friends now, Armin and Jean spent the night at an old apartment building complex, drinking and daring one another. Until day break, however... Armin lives alone away from his family, in a quiet building. One day a new neighbour moves in and the quietness is broken by noisy parties. However, the 'party boy' ends up being more friendly than Armin would expect. And for Jean, Armin becomes an enigma he wants to solve. But both boys have a past, and what beguins as a usual encounter develops in something much deeper, something that may heal wounds or spread salt on them. This is not a high school love story, this has some serious matter treated here. Don't expect a shy and girly Armin, nor a 'bad boy' Jean. This is kind of different, I hope.

Armin never really noticed Jean a whole lot, except when they passed desks in their math class together, or when Jean got into petty fights with Eren. But when Armin's best friends forgot about his birthday, Jean was the one to actually remember.
