Gon is the good boy. Always getting good grades. Always staying out of trouble. Handing in his homework on time every day since the 1st grade. Killua is the bad boy. Never hands in homework and is always the center of trouble. He got expelled from 3 other schools for various reasons. Then he got expelled for the last time into the school Gon is in.
