Kristen Gilbert is 18 jaar en woont bij haar vader (Daan). Hij werkt in de de muziek business en wordt de manager van een nieuwe band genaamd CNCO. Ze vindt hardstikke leuk dat hij weer werk heeft na het overlijden van haar moeder en zijn vrouw. Het enige nadeel is dat ze naar Amerika (New York) moeten verhuizen. Natúúrlijk vindt ze New York geweldig, maar dat is nu even niet het geval. Daar wonen ze namelijk. Ze hebben daar een talentenshow gewonnen, maar zijn nog niet zo beroemd.
