Jude Turner has a problem. Actually, she has a few of concerning fame, alcohol, rivalries, lifestyle and hiatus. Yet - for the moment - her main affair is a solo album. With the band she'd joined at just fifteen years old going on a break, Jude is left wallowing for over a year until she decides to make that elusive solo album. But she goes one step further when she decides to go deep into the Californian desert to record at a legendary studio. When a musical rivalry as old as time is renewed with The Bends, a band cemented on the tumultuous relationship of Cam and Logan Harrison, she can't seem to find stable footing in this new solo world, let alone enough to stand her own against two obnoxiously arrogant brothers. It could be the album of a lifetime or the nightmare of hers. And Jude is finding that there's a very thin line that separates the two.

She kept the one true love, music, hidden from even her best friends. But when one song changed the world she lived in, shaking it to it's very core, everything she knows is about to change. Her future and a past even hidden from her collide as she wades through a world she'd never dared to dream of, allowing her half heart to maybe find an equally broken one in the unlikely source of Seth Ryan.

A great love and a great band, not to mention more than a few unsavoury addictions picked up along the way in the time honoured traditions of the rock stars before her. And she gave it all up - except the rock star part, of course. That was a different Keely Staub, a more innocent and wild one all at the same time. She's determined that person and all the things that came with her will stay in the past, and has a very clear path laid in front of her. A measured, smart, hopefully one day respected, path. The problem is the past refuses to remain the past.
