The faeries of the Nation of Two Courts might have won their homeland back from the Ilviyaan, but facing the aftermath of the massacres carried out by the invaders is both devastating and traumatic. In a world wrought with war and struggles for power, the Faery Lords know that if they don't build up a powerful defense quickly the surrounding empires will leap at the chance to take out their weakened nation and claim the territories for themselves. Lord Brisen knows her reappointment to the role of Court Warden is going to prove even more full of difficulties than she remembers, not to mention she has her hands full as one of the only faeries with the skill set to resurrect her kinsmen. Situated between the rolling moors and treacherous bogs, the House of the Tolling Bell and its Lord are the farthest from safe that they've ever been. With cells full of political prisoners, her fortress practically has a bullseye on it. Quiet and finicky Lord Colm might finally be back in his halls, but life in the Two Courts is nothing like he remembers it. His whole identity is in tatters, his friends are dead, and his existence is no longer a quiet, peaceful one. A cartographer and High Advisor by trade, his services are important to the recovering Court, but all the pressure seems too daunting for the shy and reclusive Lord to take on alone. Both recently resurrected themselves, Colm and Brisen don't just have difficult jobs, they also have to piece their own lives back together. In a nation fraught with fear and sorrow, try as they might, no one can run from their memories forever.

Everyone in the Silmarillion dies, except for Galadriel, and Sauron (sort of), and maybe Maglor, but nobody knows. Here I present to you my guide to the characters, storylines, and other tidbits you probably forgot about because the Silm is so packed with information that it's hard to remember who's who. This isn't just any guide, though. It's an opinionated guide. (Updates completely at random)
