Seventy-four years has been long enough. The way of the infamous Hunger Games has been altered. No longer is every Gamemaker out to devise the worst means of torture and death for every tribute. No longer are the people of Panem outwardly tolerant of President Snow's murderous actions. Under the facade of a normal group of Gamemakers, several rebellious citizens have begun an experiment which, if it succeeds, will make use of technology both to rescue the tributes before they are dead and then deposit the brainwashed children back in time. They have to try it. No one knows what horrors future Hunger Games may bring, and the desperate rebels are willing to try anything. Meanwhile, in the mountainous regions of District 2, Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell have trained their whole lives for the Games. Nevertheless, their ambitions change when they, without meaning to, find themselves in the Games together. They are both determined to win. But if they don't, what will happen to them? The brainwashed tributes who land in New York City know nothing of who they are or where they are from. They do not remember Panem, or the Games, or even their own names. My version of the Hunger Games in Cato and Cloves point of view.

When an Uprising took down all of the districts in Panem besides one, District 13, which was obliterated, The Hunger Games started. Every year one boy and one girl get chosen to go to the Capitol, get pampered, get trained, and then get shoved out into an arena to fight to the death. When Clove Summers is reaped, she can only hope that someone will volunteer for her so she can stay in the comfort of home with the boy she loves, Cato. When no one volunteers, Clove realizes that she will be up against 23 other kids, killing them. And one of those people happen to be Cato. Will their love survive the games or will it tear them apart?

Clove and Cato are the perfect couple, they do everything together. He became her best friend, her soul mate after her parents died and he's been there ever since. The 74th Hunger Games are approaching and Clove and Cato must hope for the best, but when they both get reaped and no one volunteers Clove doesn't know how she can go through bearing in mind her secret that Cato does not yet know. How will it all end and how many people are they really living for?

Cato and Clove from district 2, were star crossed lovers but nobody knew.... Cato promised Clove they would win the games together or not at all. Together... or not at all....

Clove and Cato have been best friends in training for years but what will happen when they get put in an arena where only one person can leave... This is a story about Clove's experience in the 74th annual hunger games. I hope this story helps you understand how Cato and Clove were star-crossed lovers too.
