If you're judging this book by its cover and title, you're already proving the point this story wants to make. Try to move past this satirical obstacle in front of you. This is a story about bullying, and like the hundreds of other books on the topic, it will show you the harsh reality of being discriminated, belittled, ridiculed for something you cannot control- how you look, who you love, or what you believe in. But unlike these books, this story's sole purpose is not to tear your heart out of your chest as you mourn over your loss of faith in humanity. Instead, this book will make you laugh and love alongside these characters. Just like in life, there will be moments of dread and surrender, but there will also be moments of happiness, laughter, and love. - Naomi Lorraine, better known as Nerdy Naomi with her thick-rimmed glasses and straight-A report card, is the most unpopular girl in her school. Even with the help of her sarcastic comebacks, that doesn't stop her from getting bullied by everyone in Dartwell High. Every day her childhood bully, Raymond Meyers, knocks her off her feet, literally. However, she can't do anything but survive the laughs, insults, and bruises high school gives her. Reece is the school's bad boy, street fighter, and also the boy who finds Lilah's notebook. But Reece doesn't want to be nice and simply give the notebook back to her, not unless he gets something out of it. How far will Lilah go to get her notebook back? "There is no way I am rooming with-uh that" I point to the devil sitting in the corner. He looks down on his phone not even paying attention to me. Or what I have to say. "Woah" he says. He starts chuckling. "What in the world is so important" I practically scream at him taking his phone. Once I look at his phone and look. I scream even more. "Ew. Ew. Ewwwww" I screech. He laughs evilly. "Oh yea. And that my friends is, Carly, room 17" he says. "Ew" I say for the last time. "Is there anyway I can switch" I ask again. "I'm sorry ma'am there is no more rooms available. Unless you want to drop out" he folds his hands together. I take a deep breath for what feels like 20 minutes. "I guess I'll keep my room" I say rubbing my eye. *--------* Rilen Hamiltion just a normal teenager that wants to live a perfect life. But before she can do that she has to go to college for 5 years. Her life will change when she realizes that her roommate Bailey Thomas, is actually a guy. A disgusting guy that is full of himself. Biggest player yet. He pushes his hand in his pocket and then runs his fingers through his hair. "I love you" I say pointing to my chest. I feel the tears running down my face, but this time I can't and I won't stop them. I've been holding this in for too long. So long that I don't know who I am anymore. I've lost sight of who Rilen Hamilton really was. He looks at the floor then at me. "You don't love me" he laughs. I'm taking back at his laugh. I hear it ring in my head. I put my finger to my temple and hold it there for a second. Then everything we have been through runs through my head. "I do love you." I look blankly at his face. "Will you stop" I shake my head and then continue. "I love you so much that I would have went to Europe just to see you. I love you so much that I would buy you a whole store of gummy bears that way you could forever be happy. I love you so much that I would stop re-reading those freaking book, if that meant I would have more time with you." I cry. "Stop" I close my eyes and shake my head. "-but most importantly. I love you so much that if you are happy with her. That if you get those butterfly feelings In your stomach when you see her. Then I understand. Because if you are happy, then I am happy" He just stares at me. His blue eyes slowly turn green. When he blinks a tear falls from his face. "This is for you" I say walking up to him and placing something in his hand. I turn and exit the door. No regrets. ____________ Rilen Hamilton. You all know her! Bailey Thomas.
