Ty, a shift manager with an alcoholic wife, creates a female replicant in a dystopia veering toward full mechanization. For Ty, the surreal drudgery of working in a retail environment is interrupted when robotic interfaces are installed at his job. Any protest of the machines will prompt Prominents to place him in a re-education program, and that's if he's lucky. In an effort to distract himself from a failing marriage, Ty becomes obsessed with the idea of a printing a live composite. In a botched job, he ends up printing a female version of himself. Thanks to his clone, Samantha (or Sam as she insists being called), Ty and his family are in danger of being jailed by Prominent forces. A dangerous life of hiding in plain sight is nearly impossible to pull off, especially when Sam strays from simple Prominent edicts by dating a woman. Ty's reality begins to unravel and he is forced to new truths, all while coming to terms with the full-force of mechanization and violence that surrounds him. Lilith knows more about vampires than the average child. Too much, some would say. But despite all that her vampire hunter father has told her, she still yearns for more knowledge about the elusive creatures of the night. Especially one that has evaded even the most experienced of vampire hunter's knowledge: the Telboth vampire. One such creature had been rumored to have plagued Lilith's village some fifty years ago. The rest of the townsfolk believed it to either have perished or moved on to prey upon another village after having driven it out. But her father assures her that it is still out there, waiting for its chance to strike again and taste the blood of the innocent. But why? Why had this creature vanished for so long? Why was it so focused on her village? Why were children its primary prey? Well, if she wishes to learn more about this horrific beast, what better way to learn than from the creature itself? Warning: contains traumatic and gruesome themes dealing with children and family. {Elder Scrolls/Skyrim fanfic} {Takes place in Valenwood; just before the the events of Skyrim (aka the return of the dragons)} {Music will be provided in nearly every chapter for ambience or to relate to the chapter} {*Contains heavy amounts of gore, blood, and violence. Nothing sexual.} {Disclaimer: I do not own any art included in this novel or any part of Skyrim.}

The tests succeed and the teens are equipped with strange abilities that make them the most powerful humans on the planet. Things take a turn for the worst when a tragic accident leads to the deaths of most of the scientists. The teens are now mostly by themselves, stuck on an island, with dangers lurking at every corner. Just because they have powers doesn't mean that they're invincible. Folk tales and myths serve as a means of handing down traditions and customs from one generation to the next in Africa. For several generations, stories from Africa have traditionally been passed down by word of mouth. Often, after a hard day's work, the adults would gather the children together by moonlight, around a village fire and tell stories. This is traditionally called Tales by Moonlight. Usually the stories are meant to prepare young people for life, and so taught a lesson or moral.

● 2nd place in The Goddess Awards ● In August 1947, the British left the Indian subcontinent and the country was divided into 2 parts : Pakistan and India. The story of this partition is incredible and unbelievable but it happened, just like many other unbelievable things that happen in this world. 1947 is the year when the map of the world changed forever. And 1947 is the year when I fell in love... with a dream, a purpose, a country and of course... with the man who introduced all of this to me. In 1947, the greatest migration over one border took place as Muslims left India for Pakistan and Hindus and Sikhs crossed the border to reach India. And no such change happens without a fight. And oh, what a fight it was. ◇◇◇◇◇ Rated Mature for violence. _________ DISCLAIMER: I intend to offend no one! "I watched the late afternoon sunlight filter through the the cracks in the shutters that blocked the windows. It illuminated the dust mites, turning them to glitter and giving them life. They spun and twirled elegantly in the air. I liked to think I would do the same if I were lucky enough to be in full view of the sun." Having spent her entire life hiding from the sun, Jackie Bennett is all too familiar with the darkness. Her parents keep her behind shuttered windows under the premise of safety while her sister roams free, told only that direct exposure to sunlight could kill her. Trapped by both her parents' rules and her fears, Jackie's greatest hope is for a future at a college out of state, far away from her secluded hometown in the mountains of Montana. But with the unexpected arrival of an outsider comes a tidal wave of lies and truths, revealing to her that there is much more to the world, and to herself, than she ever imagined. Mikah Jameson has never had a normal life, and it's the one thing he wants most. He wants to have a future of his own choosing, not the one that has been set before him. He wants to return to his childhood home, the most peaceful place in existence. He wants his world to not revolve around a nameless and faceless girl. But upon meeting her he is disarmed by her innocence, and he realizes that the true danger to both their lives, and the lives of all, is closing in. Written from the alternating perspectives of Jackie and Mikah. (UPDATES POSTED ON FRIDAYS!)
