After a failed suicide attempt, Frank Iero is placed into an induced coma to prevent any further self harm. While he's asleep, he's visited by what he believes is an angel who sings to him. Gerard is a typical adult: lives with his mom, can barely pay for anything and hardly has a chance since he's too sassy for a job, and on top of it all, gets kidnapped by some short guy with sick tattoos and rad hair, who just happens to take a liking to the coffee obsessed artist.

Frank's lost his parents when he was sixteen and was now a nineteen year old who had to grow up way too fast. He was still struggling to find a job that didn't leave him struggling for money at the end of each month, not only for his sake but also his eight year old sister, Diana. Gerard was a young famous artist. No one knew anything about him really except that he was an arrogant rich hermit who had no interest in interacting with anyone beyond selling them his paintings.

When Frank hears about Gerard's first kiss, he pretends to be happy for him. When Frank walks in on Gerard making out with another boy, he walks away and they don't speak of it. When Frank sees Gerard with his new boyfriend, he cries himself to sleep. When Frank learns that Gerard has been sleeping around, he cracks. When Frank listens to Gerard say he's sorry, he breaks. (smut, drinking, smoking, lots of angst)

Gerard couldn't stop himself...He didn't want to.He just threw his head back and allowed the liquid to spark a fire in the back of his throat as he consumed it.He was losing himself more than should be humanly possible. And he didn't care. That's all he knew now. Alcohol and drugs. But without his main addiction that had been taken from him,he was slowly destroying himself. He was becoming a monster. Gerard needed Frank.

It's even worse when you're Frank Iero, immutable punk kid feared by at least three quarters of the student body, persecuted by teachers and downtrodden by anyone brave enough. To top it off, too socially moronic to be able to convince anyone he's not as bad as he seems. Other than Lynsey, his best and only friend, Frank has no one. Until Gerard shows up. Gerard was late, and it was fucking raining. He'd missed the bus and it was fucking raining, and he was totally going to get dropped from the play if he was late again and he was so fucking screwed, but honestly Gerard wasn't all that keen on it when he'd heard the only main part he'd managed to get in this damn theatre group was of a fucking crossdresser. For someone who was supposed to be in the closet, he was doing an awfully bad job of it.
