He was a Beast, ruthless, cruel and out for blood. Her blood. Maya knew one day she would have to face him for once and for all. But how could she for she was only a runt. Nothing powerful about her, but if so why was such a killing machine out for her. She just wanted to live a normal life, how hard could that be? Everyday living in fear and hiding didn't help and she brought others into her world of pain. She was scared so very much scared. " I'm scared" I tell Leo. "I know" he says. "We can't run forever" I tell Leo. "I know we can't" he sighs "He'll find us sooner or later" I tell Leo. "I know" he says. But then he turns to me and holds my face in his hands " I won't let him hurt you again. He'll have to go over my dead body in order to get to you alright." I nod What happens when all you do is run, to be free, to be happy, to stay safe, to simply live. Only running for so long works before you start to stumble and fall. He said I can run but can't hide, that soon I'll get tired of running. soon he'll get me. Then I'll be his. he's right.. But... I don't want to be the Beast's. I'm still scared out of my mind for we both know a day will come and we'll have to face our fears. And there's nothing Leo can do to stop it or him. Then I met the boy with forest green eyes who made me stronger, happy, livelier. How could you be destined to save people you don't know. To be throne into a world you have been hidden from your whole life. Your told your destined for great things which I can't say no to, that I may die in the end. That I'm not suppose to excise in the first place.... But that their are rules, laws I have to follow and can never ever break, or face the consequences. 1. You can never have a partner of any kind, meaning no family. 2. You must full fill your fate and will die. No questions asked. 3. Don't get close to anyone including your guardians Well this should be a blast right, cause what could possibly go wrong..... only everything. _______________ Enjoy! -On going- "Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us " -unknown- ** The waters freezing. Worse then my mothers glare when my siblings and I get in trouble. I was cold. Probably getting hypothermia, But I was the only one on the surface. I kept diving back down seeing if my family would be at the surface soon. I couldn't make it too far down until I had to come back up sputtering. Mom, Dad, Ky, Ash.... After five times of going down, I knew, I knew.. they're were dead. I could hear a boat engine near. The splashes of it skipping on the water at a high spead. Lights flashing red, and blue, lit up the darkness of the night. The light brighter as they near closer. That's when I started screaming, at first it was just pain at knowing I've lost my family, It was crazy screams. The pain of loss, of being alone was what they held. Grief consumed my body and soul. then my scream change to high shrilling yells "My family ! You have to help them please!" Slowly kicking in the water to stay afloat my body exhausted. They don't listen they don't try. Instead they yell at me, asking if I'm okay, saying they're here to help me. That s its going to be okay. They just let them die....I let them die. It wasn't okay, I wasn't going to ever be okay again. My parents are gone.. My brother and sister are gone... I have no family.... I was an orphan..... I have nobody...... I was alone..No I am ALONE!! Sadness, grief, guilt, and loneliness barrel into me filling me up, I barely feel the hands that grab me and pull me out of the water over the side of the boat and on the deck. My body numb from the shock of losing my family or from the cold water maybe both, i'm not sure. I feel my body shaking, I think I might be crying, I don't know.
