"woah hansen, breathe." evan struggled for air, attempting to focus only on what the boy knelt in front of him was saying. he let out a strangled sob and his eyes clouded with tears, he could no longer see connor but he could feel the boys grip wrapped around his forearms. he channelled all his thoughts to that contact between him and connor, and began to find a steady breathing pattern to follow. deep breath in, 1-2-3-4, and out, 1-2-3-4. 'don't pass out, evan, don't pass out', he told himself. in, 1-2-3-4, out, 1-2-3-4. and before long, he was back, connor searching his eyes for some kind of sign that the attack was over, his face etched with concern. Evan still hasn't moved on. The death of Connor Murphy was enough to tip him over. Or was it? Evan claims he doesn't want anything to do with things that remind him of Connor. But why push those away? It's been 2 years. Year one was the worst. The only reason Evan is still alive is because he's terrified of self harm. Just because of what happened to Connor. Evan can't stand it, he can't stare at a knife or even a razor for very long without breaking down into tears. Year two was slightly better. Evan wasn't as depressed as year one. Jared was helping him cope with Connor's death. Evan did space out a lot, or even cry over something that's not even sad. I guess you could say he was like a girl on her period. Some days happy, others, pretty upset. Currently, Evan has a job, Jared's in college and they both live together. What happens when one event leads to another, and Jared finds something that might help this case. Something pretty important... Hi, I love Dear Evan Hansen. I'm a musical theatre performer and I think it's just absolutely gorgeous and I really wanted to write something for it to kind of help with my anxiety so here it is!
