Sometimes things don't go as well as you want them to. When you go into a war, not everyone makes it out. And when Percy didn't make it out, Nico became miserable. He missed his Sea Prince.

He was on his own now, and he wasn't sure anyone or anything could help him. But what if he was wrong? Nico knew he was alone. His father left, and his mother and sister were both dead and gone. He knew there could be someone to break him, but the real question: Who?

Percy and Nico come out as a couple, which outs both of them as gay. And people don't take to this too kindly.

Without a literal voice, Percy wasn't everything we know him to be. He's a great fighter. He's an amazing person. But people think he's rude because he doesn't talk, and he's also not elected leader of Camp. But rather, he's stuck in his head a lot. Thinking, mainly about the fact that if ever came out as what he really is- gay, he'd lose all of the very little he had. For Nico di Angelo, the very talkative little brother of Bianca di Angelo, it frustrated him that Percy never talks. Nico is openly gay, and will admit to having a small (not) crush on the son of Poseidon. I mean, who could blame him, right? At least he wasn't afraid to admit it, unlike a certain demigod.

Nico left after the war. And you know? After some given time, everyone moved on. Sure, they missed him. But it wasn't ruining their every day life. Cut forward five years later. Percy's 22, married, and with kids. He loves his kids to death, and he's had nothing to do with Camp ever since he was 18. The closest he got was hanging out with his friends when he was in the city. My god, he doesn't even live in Manhattan anymore. He's moved west, to the city of Eugene, Oregon. He loves everything there but his abusive husband. A new girl transfers to the same school Percy's kids attend and of course, it's only bound that he'd have to meet their father. Welcome back, Nico di Angelo.

A lot of weird things happen when you're dead. And when you're alive. Stuff is just weird. But I don't think it's normal to be in love with a dead man.

I do not own Rick Riordan's characters. This story is a High School AU. Characters might be slightly out of character. Since they are normal people in this story, it will be hard to capture their real personalities. I'll try my best though. Thanks for your understanding. Percy is failing Italian and needs help before he gets kicked off the swim team. Nico's dad surprised him with a vacation to the beach, but Nico needs to learn how to swim before he leaves. (This story was meant to be a happy story with very few drama elements. Overall it's a Percico love story.) *First story, feedback please.*
