Recently, I've watched a show called Alaskan Bush People and I loved every minute of it, despite what other people think of the show. I loved the family dynamic and these one-shots/drabbles were the result of that.

It's late 1943 in a small town 20 miles from London, 15 year old Lily is praying for the end of the war, praying for the end of the war to come soon.She misses life as it is, her freedom is limited and the constant air raids near by are terrifying, and she's fearing her father will be called up for service, despite being medically discharged in world war 1. Lily's friends who live nearer the city have either died in he constant bombings or have been sent away to live in the countryside. Lily just needs some hope, compassion and love.Times are hard. Is all fair in love and war?

She is determined to pass her last year of high school with flying colors. No distractions. That is till her new, mysterious Literature teacher shows a particular interest in her. Will she stick to her plan or dive head first into a forbidden dance?
