Ashton was gifted with powers, so was Erik and with the help of Charles Xavier's school for gifted youngsters she was able to control and understand her powers without being judged. Erik becomes an English professor at the school and when Ashton goes off the rails after a tragic death, Erik finally confesses his longing feelings for her.

Amberle Foster has been in attendance at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters since her mutation made itself known. While she has always remained in the background of the growing academy, the recent defeat of Apocalypse has brought certain students to the fore front of attention. One of whom is a boy with lasers for eyes, Scott Summers. While Amberle must wear gloves to keep her abilities from non-consensually working on others, Scott faces a similar dilemma- he must wear specially crafted glasses to keep from blowing things up. The two would be considered complete opposites. Both created by dark blue scale-like skin, resembling tattoos of a sun and a moon. Growing up was difficult for Bethany since her parents refused to let her outside. Her father had promised her he would let her go outside on her sixteenth birthday, and as soon as she had the chance she ran. Afraid of being found, she became a family member to Hank(Henry) McCoy, who was also a mutant. Now she is faced with a war created by Sebastian Shaw, she must work with Charles Xavier to help stop him, but can she stop feelings to be developed along the way. *edited*
