It was the last day of summer camp. All of the Children's parents had come that day to pick them up. Max's parents, however, had arrived late to bring him home. David noticed that Max had been very much against the idea of going home. However, David doesn't think much of it at the time. Max may still hate David, but he soon comes to realize that David may be his only hope...(Yeah uh, I don't know what else to put in this horrible description, so I guess read the story to find out more..? Sorry! ^-^')

It was nearing the end of Summer, meaning all the other campers and Max were going home. On the last day, David noticed Max acting differently than he usually does, but he brushes it off, and all the campers go home. Until a turn of events happen.

NOT MAXVID I DONT SHIP ADULTS WITH TEN YEAR OLDS. When David goes to adopt a kid, the last person he expects to see is Max. But of course when he sees HIS camper stuck in the group home, he has to take Max with him back to a place for you and me. Camp Campbell. Disclaimer: I don't own camp camp, obviously. All I own is the story. Warning, this story is completely self indulgent, I wrote it because no one had written the story I wanted to read. If you want to make me a cover that would be fabulous, I don't have the app to do that, so I'm just using what I can find.

After Parent's Day, there was still half a summer to go. Most everyone had been back in a good mood after getting to see their parents again, but Max was still his own self. David thought about this a lot. Then again, so did Gwen. It kept both of them awake for all hours of the night to think that one of their campers had a family that couldn't even bother to sign their son up for an activity, or to show up for Parent's Day. The camp got happier, Max didn't. As he got worse, the others became happier, and the counselors more worried.

David had been worried about max for a while, after the parents day incident he came to realize that max's parents really didn't care. No wonder max was such a downer all the time, but what if David took that all away? Could he really help max the way he needed to? Maybe he could... WARNING: strong language and some abuse included.

A few weeks after parent's day, Max seemed a little more friendly towards the counselors. Nobody understood, and nobody really cared. As long as Max was being less of a dickhead. The two people who understood were Gwen and David, who had been keeping the fact that they had a new grumpy son a secret for almost a month now.

At the end of summer Maxes parents get arrested after the Miller agents find out they've been working with Mr. Cambell. After the adults talk, David volunteers to take Max in, of course. David trys is best to be a loving and caring father figure for Max, as for the boy is still getting used to that kind of attention. on top of everything Max also has to deal with a new school, but he does hear some formiler voices.

When the campers become suspicious of Max's camp, the counselors has to pick one for him. Little did they know, that was the camp Max wanted to join in the first place. Art and characters are not mine
