Remember that first day? I do. In the car, the windows rolled down, music flowing through the air. I was at peace with everything and everyone. We were family.

Brian sat down on their kitchen counter, letting his blond friend adjust his hair one last time before they left. "Do you know where we're meeting Fred and John?" He reached over to the edge of the counter and grabbed a striped, button-down shirt. As he spoke he slid his long arms through the sleeves and distractedly buttoned it up. Roger used his fingers and a small comb to increase the volume of Brian's hair. "Freddie and John? What a sweetheart of you to think of them- but I didn't invite 'em."
