"I don't want to be here anymore." Faye trembled as tears rushed down her face. She felt so scared, the lump in her throat growing making her feel like she was being suffocated. Fear rushed through each and every one of her veins, she wanted to vomit she was terrified. "Please come get me." She whimpered. "Okay Faye, you need to calm down I can't hear you, you're breathing too hard." Listening to Jason's instructions she closes her eyes and quickly focuses on her breathing before speaking back to him in a calmer but still shaky manner. "Come and get me please." She begged, tightening her hold on the phone. "Now tell me where you are." He demanded with worry evident in his voice. Making sure she was speaking in a loud and clear voice she tells him her location. "Okay, I'm on my way. Stay where you are and make sure you're safe." As soon as she ended the call, an atrocious growl erupted behind her making her whole body tremble more than she was already. Tears of fear ascended down her cheeks knowing that she was done for. "Mine!" He snarled from behind. Faye stood still, not an inch of her body was moving as she heard his slow footsteps approach her. The air thickened around them to which she found herself panting as she felt his breath fan against the delicate skin of her neck. "Mine!" He growled louder into Faye's ears. She hated this. She hated him. She wanted nothing more than death to consume her. || ON HOLD ||

*COMPLETED* "You think I'd murder you?" He laughed humorlessly. "I- what?" I stuttered, looking at him with a lost expression. If he didn't want to kill me, what was all of this then? "What's your name, speedy?" He asked after shaking his head. "Why would I-I tell you my name?" I tried to sound brave, but this whole scenario was just freaking me out. "I'll find out, eh?" He gave me a smirk. What? "For what? You can just kill me now. I don't want to live like this anymore." I breathed out. I really don't. His loud and obnoxious laugh pulled me out of my thoughts. What's so funny? "You're funny. But-" He took a step closer and I immediately stepped backwards. "-the stunt you pulled last week-" My back hit the wall and I gasped as he stood only a few inches away from me now. His finger lifted my chin and I gulped. "-was not." His smirk was replaced by a serious expression. His eyes were so dark and captivating, I couldn't look away. "And you know what they say, speedy?" He continued as his eyes flickered towards my mouth. I shook my head and his smirk was back. "Keep your friends close. But-" He clenched his jaw. "Keep your enemies closer."

"Sometimes, we are so smitten with happy endings, that we believe we'll end up with one too." Ambrosia Bellemore never believed in happy endings, even though the books she read said otherwise. The closest she ever came to magic was when she found the most beautiful pair of ruby red heels on Amazon. "Lives aren't stories. Stories end, happy or otherwise. But lives don't. We die, and there's nothing happy or otherwise in dying." Calum Achorn never believed in magic.
