On New-Year's day, Max is attacked and left blind. He must learn to be independent, to function on his own and finds that relying on himself comes naturally. Still,he's only a child, and without anyone to trust he's left fearful and angry at the world around him. But then he sees the only light he'll ever see again. He has one opportunity to get away from it all, from his damnable parents and the life they inflict on him. That damned camp he cursed so much, and it's most loyal councilor, are his only hope.
