{A work in progress...} ~~~ After Goose decided to live with his father in Two-leg place, he found himself missing his mothers even more. He made the most of his time training with Soot and Burn, but it got repeated and boring after a while. The air became cooler and the trees began to lose their leaves. Two-legs stopped appearing outside and the dogs stayed in the building yard forever. So what happens when you let a curious kit explore while it's winter?...

"It trotted off warily, leaving the kit in the nest, but if Goosekit learned anything in his time, it was that new adventure awaited if you didn't listen - which was a terrible moral but he decided it was an exciting one to live by." Goosekit had always been a curious, thoughtful tomkit. His mother never let him venture outside the nursery and his littermates teased him for being so weak and ditsy. Finally one day, the clan is attacked by coyotes. Through war and bloodshed everyone is distracted as Goosekit makes his move. He goes outside the nursery to watch, and after disobeying the many warnings he was given to go back inside, something terrible happens. Now Goosekit is pilfered from his home, but finds it isn't necessarily a bad thing. Throughout the story, Goosekit is questioned about whether or not adventure and intrigue are necessary, and what the true meaning of family really is. What will happen to Goosekit, and will he survive?
