It's Arthur's birthday and Merlin decides to get his lover a gift, but what happens when Arthur promises to return the favour? Will he be able to keep it? I got the idea from the cover photo. It is 2017. Arthur Pendragon rises from the lake of Avalon in a strange and unfamiliar land, and is greeted by his servant and best friend Merlin. Merlin, who over the years has become insane and depressed, is overjoyed by his master's return. At first. As time goes by, Arthur continues to prove how useless he is in the 21st century. However hard he tries, he continues to mess things up and get arrested. Arthur starts to feel absolutely useless compared to the warlock, especially after finding out about his abilities. Hopelessness starts taking over his mind, until he convinces himself he has no purpose without his Camelot, and is only a weight on his friend's shoulders. However confused he may be, he knows one thing. He has to leave this place. Now. All characters belong to BBC. This is slash fan fiction and involves homosexuality. If you don't like it don't read it.

Even worse, he starts to develop feelings for Arthur. ((Sorry I am so bad with descriptions and stuff. I know there are a load of Merthur fics out there but they are either AU's or one shots, and I really wanted one that went with the story line of the show. I couldn't find one so I thought, hey, why not write one myself! So here it goes, and enjoy! <3 ))

Just random Merlin oneshots. I try my best to be as original as possible. Goes from being sad, to funny, to mad.... You get the gist. I don't ship Arthur and Gwenivere, so in most one shots, they never married. Most will probably be Pinterest inspired. Some ideas are taken from other books I've read and turned into my own. Don't think I even have to say this, but I do not own Merlin. Last but not least, please comment, and vote if you like it.
