A friend gave me a writing prompt and this is the result. It's still a work in progress and this is a rough draft.

This is an excerpt from one of the Academy of the Accord novels. The entire series is still a work in progress but since I haven't posted anything in a while I thought I'd share the scene I just wrote. (It's still pretty rough -- it will be smoother by the time the books are done and ready to be unleashed on the world.) Jorsen is 10 years old, a first year cadet at the academy, and is gangly and uncoordinated. Wellhym is one of the warriors training the first year cadets. (Kordelm is the other one.) Marsden is the commander of the garrison and Vinadi is the headmaster of the school. (The Academy of the Accord trains both warriors and wizards.) Man, it's tough to do an excerpt from the middle of a story...
