[Not Edited] Magic is dying. Someone has stolen the Tome of Lyra and tampered with the words. The book must be found and rewritten before the kingdom of Astron loses its magical shield. The Elders of Astron call on Joshua and Eric, guardians of Lyra, to retrieve the tome. Barely home from their last mission, they set out to find the book thief and set magic to rights. Fearing the worst, they prepare to battle their own nemesis Errai. It would be easy if Amelia, a girl with a teenage-crush on Eric, hadn't snuck out after them. But there's more to Amelia than even she knows. Rescued from the realm of the Black Holes, her magic is just awakening. Combining their powers, Joshua, Eric and Amelia have to save Astron's magic and battle Errai one last time before the world is destroyed.

Welcome to Hendrick Academy, where Sixth Year students Erin and Melody are about to graduate and take the SAT and AAT, a series of tests that will determine what roles they will spend the rest of their lives in. Some are a dream come true, others are a nightmare. Some are even worse. When one of the girls fall into trouble the friends run away, across the great river that divides the land mass of Lormandi right down the middle, away from the civilized and walled in city of Faustwick and into the unknown and dangerous wilds of Direwood, where creatures of myth roam free and every step is potentially fatal. Will they find shelter there? Or only more trouble?

This is a story I wrote the majority of daily, as part of NaNoWriMo 2013. The concept for the story is one that I have been considering for a while. Earlier this year, I wrote about 3000 words on the subject as part of our Wattpad HQ Writeathon, and that work can be found under "Wattpad Writeathon 2013: Skyward". However, I wanted to start fresh for NaNoWriMo, so I have created this story to capture my progress through November.

Living life to its fullest isn't so easy when you're not actually alive. On the dingy streets of London, twenty-one year old Vladilina Orlova sets out to steal from the merchants who sell their wares there. Little does Vladilina know that one small trip to the market can change her life completely. She is caught stealing food by a mysterious stranger who claims to be an old acquaintance of hers, and he threatens to turn her in to the authorities. That is, unless she is willing to murder a certain man. She agrees to this, without truly intending to carry out the deed. Too late does she realize that this stranger is not one who is easily deceived. Her punishment is one that follows her throughout eternity. And she refuses to accept it without putting up a fight. Vengeance is what she seeks, even if it means pursuing the man who cursed her for centuries. Revenge is sweet, if the consequences aren't as severe as the original punishment.
