*completed Navigating your way through an American high school is hard enough without adding an accent into the mix. British girl Evie seemingly had the perfect life. That was until the car accident that left her an orphan and only child. Her parents friends offer to take her in but that would mean moving to California, going to high school and making new friends. It's not all bad though. Especially as Harrison the most irritating, good looking guy she's ever met and the rest of the soccer team insist on bombarding their way into her life. They say when one door closes another one opens. What people forget to mention though, is that most of the time you'll be violently shoved through the new door with barely a moment to breath.

How did it feel? It felt like he was barely holding it together. She, of all people, should shun him. Or yell at him. Curse him. Spit at him. Take out her wand and blast him off the face of the earth. It was crushing guilt and relief and confusion all at once when he looked at Hermione Granger. The monotony of Draco's daily routine had become both a lifeline and a noose. But this new habit of grabbing morning coffee with Hermione Granger is quickly becoming a reason to get out of bed and is unfortunately forcing him to re-evaluate his inconsequential existence. Hermione is living her life in fragments, separate pieces scattered about, and she can't find a way to step back and let the full picture form. Why is morning coffee with Draco Malfoy the only thing that makes sense anymore? *cover art created by @eternallyreadinggoodthings

Hermione felt the pounding in her ears again. She would see him for the first time since the Great Hall, gaunt and stricken at the Slytherin table with his mother clutching his arm. She hadn't meant to look for him. Not in the corridors, not beneath the white sheets of the fallen, not on the way to the Chamber of Secrets with Ron, but she was a stupid girl.

"Wanna dance?" Ophelia asked the boy next to her while walking out of the open corridor. As soon as she stepped outside rain drops began falling on her head. She looked up at the cloudy sky and smiled. "Are you serious? It's raining." Draco stared at the girl. "Yes I'm serious." She laughed and grabbed his hand, pulling him outside with her into the pouring rain. "You're crazy." She likes fashion, dating, not being on time and getting what she wants - until she meets Sean, who is like the clock striking midnight; he erases all her magic power. He is as mature and sophisticated as the dark roasted coffee he drinks, while she is like a lollipop: colorful, dazzling on the outside but empty calories and artificial sweeteners on the inside. The attraction is instant, but getting a kiss is only the first step. To keep their fire burning, they must accept each other's differences and decide if what they're building is strong enough to survive trials, jealousy, expectations, and the fear of becoming someone they no longer recognize.
